Most recently, Miss Clea was awarded her Associate Diploma in Cecchetti Ballet (CC-CICB, 2024). Clea continues to advance her training and expand her professional development in a variety of dance education methodologies.
From a young age, Clea trained at Sorensen and later began teaching at the studio. She studied various dance disciplines, such as Ballet, Modern, Tap, Jazz and Jazz Funk. During her training Clea completed various vocational exams, having attained her Advanced 1 Cecchetti Ballet (2015) and her Advanced 2 ISTD Modern Theatre (2017).
In 2013 and 2017, Clea was awarded the "Aspire Scholarship" from the Dance Teachers' Association of Newfoundland. She used these scholarships to attend the Cecchetti Ballet Summer School in 2013, and to further her dance teaching education at Canada’s National Ballet School from 2017-2020.
We are delighted to have such a talented teacher part of the SSOD team again this year!
Clea also has an interest in performing and choreographing for various local musicals and theatrical productions. Some of her credits include Vayu (2013), Beauty and the Beast (2014) and Check It Out! A Bug’s Life (2019).
As a teacher Clea aims to inspire her students through training the fundamentals of dance technique and artistry, while also teaching them valuable life skills. We are delighted to have Clea part of the SSOD team.
